British Championships 2010

Spectrum Leisure Centre, Guildford
3rd & 4th July 2010

Heathrow enjoyed another very successful year at the British this weekend. Both the Senior & Junior competitions were very open especially the Senior Championships with last years juniors having moved to seniors, veteran Olympian Hannah Whelan took the title but the Silver Medal went to Heathrow's Nicole Hibbert, (last year's Junior Champion) & the Bronze Medal to Heathrow's Danusia Francis. Nicole also won the Silver Medal in the A Bars Final & the Bronze Medal on Vault.

Danusia took the Senior British titles on both Beam & Floor. Having missed the European Championships through injury, it was a very welcome success.
Danusia was also awarded the Max Sime Trophy for Artistry

Becky Wing took 4th place in the All Around competition, the Bronze Medal on Beam & 4th place in the A Bars final.

Heathrow's Laura Mitchell has consistently been at the top of the juniors this year & following her success at the European Championships she kept her form & took the British title, Laura also came 4th in the A Bars Finals & took the British Junior title on Beam.

Loriah James in her first Junior Championships was 5th in the All Around & took the Silver Medal on Floor & 5th place on Beam

Jojo Perryman competed in all 4 Espoir Finals & won the Espoir Vault Champion title

Heathrow's Medal tally was 5 British Titles,

5 Gold Medals, 3 Silver Medals, 3 Bronze Medals
