British Championships 2008
A Phenomenally successful weekend for Heathrow, our medal total of 12 plus 6 National titles is an all time best for us.
Saturday began with the Junior Championships, Heathrow had 4 gymnasts in this competition. Nicole Hibbert took the title with a great performance, Danusia Francis close behind her, took the silver medal. Charlotte Lindsley was 12th & Keshia Wood 22nd.

The Senior Championships followed, for Becky Wing, her 1st Senior British was also the final Olympic trial. Becky performed brilliantly apart from a fall from Beam, she took the Silver Medal, her 2nd position also got her a place on the Olympic Team for Beijing.

Apparatus Finals
Sunday was Apparatus Finals for Espoir gymnasts as well as Juniors & Seniors. Laura Mitchell & Loriah James had qualified for Heathrow, with Laura competing in the Bars & Beam finals & Loriah on Floor. Loriah in her 1st year at Espoir surpassed her expectations and tied 1st sharing her title with Jessica Hogg from Wales. Laura performed an excellent Bar routine & won her 1st title, & finished off by taking the Bronze medal on Beam.

Junior finals saw Nicole take the British title on Vault, Beam & Floor to add to her over all title. Danusia took the Silver on Bars & Floor.
